Our client — a leading organization in its field — is looking for a System Engineer (CI/CD & Build Tools) to join their Generic Build Team and take ownership of some of the most mission-critical tools in their development lifecycle.
Role
You’ll be a key player in managing and evolving a broad suite of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools — from Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Confluence to legacy systems on their way out. This is not a pure developer role — it's for someone who thrives in building, maintaining, and improving complex ecosystems of development tools.
Your day-to-day might include:
- Exploring new plugins, upgrades, and tooling capabilities.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align tools with business needs.
- Maintaining & optimizing infrastructure and pipelines.
- Providing expert-level support and guidance to developers and DevOps engineers.
- Cleaning up & decommissioning obsolete tools (goodbye, Fisheye 👋).
Profile
Technical Must-Haves:
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Nexus, and Maven.
- Mastery of Atlassian tools: Jira and Confluence are your playgrounds.
- Programming skills in Python and TypeScript (Perl is a nice bonus).
- Comfortable managing both Linux and Windows environments
