Accountant - Financial Services Avenue Louise Brussels

For one of our clients, we are looking for an Accountant with a good level of English for an innovative scale up in Avenue Louise Brussels.

As part of our continued growth, we’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our finance team—particularly in managing and optimizing supplier-related accounting processes.

Role

Primary Focus – Supplier Accounting & Accounts Payable

Process and record vendor invoices promptly and accurately in the Accounts Payable (AP) system.
Ensure expense reports align with internal policies, following up on discrepancies or missing details.
Serve as a point of contact for invoice-related inquiries, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records, ensuring proper documentation and audit trail completeness.
Respond to AP-related questions and assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Perform regular reconciliations of supplier accounts and related general ledger entries to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Secondary Focus – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Support

Assist in gathering and structuring financial data for analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
Help track budgets against actuals, and contribute to identifying and analyzing variances.
Support the creation of internal financial reports and dashboards for use by business stakeholders.
Participate in ad hoc financial initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.

Profile

Bachelor’s in accounting
Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
You have an excellent level in French and English
You are rigorous, like to work autonomously and open to work in an international environment with multiple cultures
