Legal Counsel – Capital Markets

Our client, a leading international financial institution, is looking for a Legal Counsel to strengthen its Brussels-based Capital Markets team.

Your duties and responsibilities:

Provide legal support and advice on Debt Capital Markets transactions (DCM) and, occasionally, Equity Capital Markets (ECM) matters.
Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation and coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
Advise on regulatory aspects related to capital markets activities.
Collaborate with international teams (notably in Amsterdam and other EU hubs).
Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the legal team.

Ideal profile:

Experience: At least 3 years in Capital Markets (DCM required; ECM is a plus), ideally gained in a law firm or financial institution.
Languages: Fluent in French and English; Dutch is an asset but not required.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Law; Belgian or EU-qualified lawyer preferred.
