AP Accountant | FMCG sector

Our client is an international, fast-evolving organization and is looking for a hands-on finance professional to strengthen its AP & cash operations team.

AP Accountant | Your Role

  • Process PO and non-PO invoices (2-way & 3-way match), ensuring correct VAT treatment and accurate posting to cost centers and GL accounts
  • Handle employee expense notes in line with company policies
  • Prepare and execute weekly supplier payments and urgent payments when required
  • Act as a key contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding AP and payment queries
  • Monitor EU cash balance requirements and propose intercompany settlements when needed
  • Prepare and publish monthly AP aging reports and ensure reconciliation between subledger and GL
  • Perform reconciliations (AP, bank, prepaid accounts) and investigate discrepancies
  • Support internal and external audits related to Accounts Payable
  • Apply incoming cash and support cash collection activities for dedicated markets
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables, manage reminders and resolve invoice variances
  • Proactively identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

AP Accountant | Your Profile

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, AR, or a similar operational finance role within an international environment
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong asset
  • Qualifications: Degree or training in accounting, finance or equivalent experience
