Business Controller | IT | Brussels

We are currently looking for a Business Controller for one of our clients, an IT company based in Brussels.

This Belgian company, founded in the 2000s, has around one hundred employees and markets a 100% digital platform used by several thousand users across the country.

In this strategic role, you will have the opportunity to create and structure the Business Controlling function within the company an essential area to support its growth. Drawing on a solid background in Business Controlling, you will implement the tools, methods, and key performance indicators needed to shift from a reactive approach to a proactive one.

Function:

Ensure the reliability and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and annual closings, while analyzing P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Manage provisions, journal entries, allocations and accruals in coordination with the accounting team, while challenging deliverables
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, analyze variances and prepare management reports for the group
Act as a business partner for key departments by providing financial analyses and strategic recommendations
Develop and enhance KPIs, dashboards, BI tools, and profitability analyses
Drive key strategic projects such as ERP migration, optimizing financial processes, improving reporting speed, anticipating financial needs and translating them into actionable plans

Profile:

High degree in Finance, Economics or Sciences Management
Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch
You are able to simplify and clearly explain financial concepts to ensure understanding across all teams while being approachable and business-oriented
Persuasive and confident, you are capable of influencing management and driving alignment
Comfortable working in an evolving environment with limited structure, you are ready to bring clarity, build processes and implement new things
