Accounting Assistant | Fashion & Wholesale

Our client, a growing fashion wholesaler, is looking for an Accounting Assistant in Brussels to join its close-knit Finance team.

Accounting Assistant | Your duties and responsibilities

As an Accounting Assistant, you will:

Process and post purchase invoices for goods and services
Process daily bank statements and ensure accurate accounting records
Follow up on outstanding customer and supplier invoices by email and phone
Send payment reminders and formal notices and monitor receivables
Prepare and follow up on debt collection files in collaboration with legal counsel
Handle various accounting and administrative tasks
Draft professional correspondence in Dutch, French and English

Accounting Assistant | Ideal profile

Experience: Previous experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or a similar finance administration role; a recent graduate with relevant education is also welcome
Languages: Fluent in Dutch, French and English, both written and spoken; Italian is a plus
Qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Accountancy or a related field; strong Excel skills and knowledge of Odoo is an advantage
