Group Controller | Agribusiness & Trading

Our client, a leading international agribusiness group, is looking for a Group Controller in Mechelen to lead financial control and reporting across EMEA.

As a Group Controller, you will take a senior role within the Finance organisation, combining financial governance, reporting, risk management and business partnering. Group Controller | Your duties and responsibilities

As a Group Controller, you will:

Lead the execution of accounting policies and financial controls across the EMEA organisation
Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, financial statements, analysis and risk forecasting
Translate financial results into clear insights through dashboards and performance reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen accounting processes and operational efficiency
Identify financial and process risks and implement appropriate mitigation and control measures
Lead, motivate and develop finance teams across multiple locations
Support complex transactions, including M&A, divestments and joint ventures

Group Controller | Ideal profile

Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience, ideally 10 to 12+ years, with a strong background in controlling, accounting or financial reporting within a multinational environment
Languages: Fluent English; additional European languages are a strong asset
Qualifications: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, with CPA or equivalent certification considered a strong asset
