Accountant & Controller | Medical devices | Flemish Brabant

We are looking for an Accountant & Controller for one of our clients active in the medical devices industry and located in the Flemish Brabant.


This family company has been recently acquired by an international German group which therefore allowed the structure to keep its local scope while being part of a worldwide and renowned company. The Belgian entity being smaller, it gives the collaborators the opportunity to occupy a broader function with less hierarchy, more freedom and more impact daily.

This role combines accounting and controlling in a highly complementary way, giving you both operational ownership and analytical exposure. You will handle core accounting tasks such as closings, VAT, invoicing and audit, while also contributing to financial reporting, performance analysis and the improvement of reporting tools and processes. This mix offers a complete finance perspective, strong autonomy and real opportunities for development.



Function:

  • Assist during monthly and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat and tax declarations
  • Support the preparation of financial reporting for the Group
  • Analyze accounts and financial performance of group entities
  • Prepare audit documentation and act as the main point of contact for external auditors
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial procedures and reporting tools 


Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • At least 2 years of experience in the accounting domain. A first experience in controlling is a plus
  • Fluent in English with a good level of French and/or Dutch
  • You take initiative and work proactively
  • You are eager to learn and develop new skills
  • You are open-minded and adaptable in your approach
