Our client is actively looking for a Junior/Medior Accountant based near Zellik.
A Belgian group active in investment is continuing its growth and wishes to strengthen its finance team. The organization manages several legal entities and develops long-term projects within a stable and entrepreneurial environment.
The finance team is intentionally kept small, with strong internal collaboration and a direct, pragmatic, and results-oriented working environment. This recruitment fits into a long-term strengthening strategy following the evolution of business needs and ongoing projects.
Role
You will join the accounting team and work under the direct supervision of a senior accountant, in close collaboration with the finance management. You will contribute to the day-to-day accounting of several entities and progressively develop your skills on more complex topics.
This position is intended for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and willing to commit long term in a demanding yet supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Accounting management of several legal entities
- Posting accounting entries (invoices, financial entries, journal entries)
- Monitoring payments and sales invoices
- Preparation of monthly and annual closings
- Participation in the preparation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements
- VAT management (Belgian VAT returns and intra-community transactions)
- Collaboration with an external accounting firm for tax matters and legal obligations
- Gradual contribution to audit preparation and complex closings
Profile
- Education in accounting (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience)
- First professional experience in accounting (in-house or accounting firm environment)
- Knowledge of Belgian accounting standards (BE GAAP)
- Comfortable with accounting tools and ERP systems (Odoo or equivalent)
- Ability to work in a multi-entity environment
Languages
- Dutch: professional level required (minimum B2)
- French: good oral and written communication
- English: professional reading level (B1 sufficient)
