System And Network Enigneer

Are you specialised in Network and Devops ?

We are looking for an experienced System, Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic, international and highly technical Infrastructure & Operations team.

You will work on critical, highly available infrastructure supporting large-scale Internet services, with a particular focus on network engineering and distributed infrastructure, while also contributing to systems, private cloud, DNS and overall service reliability.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will be involved in technical design, implementation, production operations and continuous infrastructure improvement.

You will contribute to both the existing production environment and the development of next-generation infrastructure, including datacentre networking, private-cloud platforms, DNS, anycast, automation, observability and security.

Role

Network & Distributed Infrastructure

Design, implement and evolve physical and logical network infrastructure across datacentre environments.
Configure and operate routing, switching, firewalling, connectivity and traffic flows.
Work with BGP, OSPF, anycast and traffic engineering.
Contribute to network underlay and overlay architectures.
Implement network segmentation, access controls, resilience and secure connectivity.
Participate in network redesign and infrastructure separation initiatives.

Systems & Infrastructure

Design and operate highly available infrastructure supporting critical services.
Work with Linux, virtualisation, containerisation and private-cloud technologies.
Support infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, NTP, load balancing, storage and backup.
Contribute to infrastructure lifecycle management, capacity planning and platform modernisation.
Support migration and coexistence between existing and next-generation environments.

DNS & Critical Services

Support authoritative DNS and DNSSEC infrastructure.
Work with distributed DNS environments, including unicast, anycast and routing.
Contribute to DNS architecture, operational practices and technical evolution.
Ensure the availability, performance, security and resilience of services operating at large scale.

Automation & Observability

Develop and improve infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Automate provisioning, configuration and operational processes.
Develop scripts using Python, Bash or comparable languages.
Contribute to monitoring, logging and observability using technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana and Graylog.
Use operational data to identify performance, capacity and reliability improvements.

Operations & Reliability

Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity and dependencies.
Diagnose and resolve complex production incidents.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare and execute infrastructure changes, upgrades and migrations.
Ensure appropriate testing, rollback and recovery procedures.
Participate in a formal 24/7 on-call rotation.

Security & Resilience

Implement infrastructure security controls including network segmentation, secure configuration and access control.
Contribute to vulnerability remediation, logging and security monitoring.
Work closely with Security and Architecture teams.
Support backup, recovery, failover and disaster-recovery capabilities.
Contribute to audits, risk assessments and compliance activities.

Profile

7+ years of hands-on experience in network, systems or infrastructure engineering.
Strong experience in production-critical environments.
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, BGP, OSPF and enterprise networking.
Strong Linux experience, ideally with RHEL derivatives such as Rocky Linux or AlmaLinux.
Hands-on experience with authoritative DNS and DNSSEC.
Experience with highly available and distributed infrastructure.
Experience with virtualisation, containers or private-cloud platforms.
Strong troubleshooting capabilities across network, system and infrastructure layers.
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
Scripting experience with Python, Bash or similar.
Experience with monitoring, logging and observability platforms.
Good knowledge of Git and source-code management practices.
Experience producing infrastructure/network diagrams and low-level designs.
Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
