Senior / Lead Android developer

Our partner, an innovative tech driven company, is looking for a Senior/Lead Android Developer to drive the evolution of their mobile applications.

You’ll join a mature agile team building next-generation mobile applications. As a Senior/Lead Android Developer, you will translate business requirements into robust Android solutions and work closely with product and backend teams to ensure seamless integration and technical excellence.

Role

Playing a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Android applications, translating business needs into scalable and robust mobile solutions
Taking ownership of the Android codebase, ensuring code quality, stability, security, and alignment with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Working closely with backend teams to ensure smooth integration with APIs and distributed systems
Leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage tasks, document technical decisions, and contribute to an efficient agile delivery process
Collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver performant, user-centric, and future-proof mobile applications
Coaching and mentoring team members, contributing to architectural discussions, and driving continuous improvement within the team

Profile

At least 5 years of experience in Android development, with a strong focus on building scalable and high-quality mobile applications
A solid technical background, with a good understanding of software architecture, system interactions, and backend integration
Strong experience with Kotlin and modern Android development practices (e.g. MVVM, Clean Architecture, Jetpack components)
Experience working in environments with API-driven architectures and microservices, including integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
Good understanding of data handling and modelling on mobile applications
Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills, with the ability to align technical solutions with business needs and work closely with different stakeholders
