Risk & Security Specialist

We’re hiring a Risk & Security to take full ownership of security governance, risk management, and compliance for a high-impact operational data exchange platform at the heart of Europe’s energy infrastructure.
As a key member of the Service Delivery & Platform Security Team, you will drive security best practices across software development, operations, and stakeholder coordination. You’ll be shaping and securing the digital backbone of a sector undergoing a historic transformation towards sustainability and interconnectedness.
Role
- Define and evolve platform-specific security policies and frameworks.
- Embed security into every stage of the Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Lead vulnerability assessments, threat modelling, penetration testing, and annual audits.
- Act as the primary security liaison with internal teams and external partners.
- Coordinate with product owners and development teams to assess and mitigate security risks.
- Support architectural reviews and advise on secure design principles.
- Deliver security training to internal teams and enforce secure coding practices.
- Manage compliance with ISO 27001:2022 and other relevant standards.
- Contribute to broader organizational maturity in information security.
Profile
- 5+ years in IT security or cybersecurity within critical systems or infrastructure environments.
- Degree in IT, OT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or CEH are highly valued.
- Strong understanding of ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27002, and ISMS frameworks.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- ▸ Network & endpoint security
- ▸ Cryptography & secure communication protocols
- ▸ Access control models & authentication mechanisms
- ▸ Security monitoring (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Familiarity with Agile environments and tools like JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a distributed, international team.
