For one of our clients, we are looking for a GL Accountant in the peripheries of Brussels (no traffic).

Role
- Lead and coordinate the daily, monthly, and yearly finance operations (accounting, treasury, tax, and VAT) with the team.
- Oversee statutory and regulatory compliance, ensuring all financial obligations are met and that the organization maintains proper awareness of requirements.
- Prepare statutory accounts in line with NLGAAP standards and deadlines.
- Manage the preparation and submission of VAT and tax returns, including interactions with tax authorities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results at both country and group level, particularly during monthly closings.
- Guarantee that documents are correctly recorded in accordance with the defined group structure.
- Deliver accurate and timely accounts to the group in compliance with internal standards.
- Provide the Head of Accounting with relevant and reliable financial information for decision-making.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations in line with group requirements, while highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Maintain strong financial accounting policies and controls, supporting successful internal and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Ensure sound financial governance and adherence to compliance frameworks across all finance activities.
Profile
- Bachelor in Accounting
- Minimum 4 years of experience in AZ Accounting
- You work autonomously and take initiatives
- You are challenge-driven and open to changes

- You have an excellent English and can speak either French or Dutch

Budget & Benefits
- The gross monthly salary ranges between €3,800 and €4,000.
- The package includes a company car with a fuel card (or alternatively, a mobility budget).
- Additional benefits are provided, such as hospitalization insurance, group insurance, and a monthly net allowance of €125 to €150.

Working Conditions (Telework, Hours & Holidays)
