Cybersecurity Consultant - The Role
- Take ownership of IT Service Continuity & Resilience, ensuring critical services are prepared to withstand and recover from disruptions.
- Identify, assess and monitor IT risks, translating technical risks into clear business priorities and actionable improvements.
- Develop and coordinate Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity testing for applications, infrastructure and data, and follow up on the results.
- Work closely with IT architects, security experts and external service providers to assess resilience, security controls and recovery capabilities.
- Contribute to the evolution of the organisation’s Cybersecurity & Risk strategy, based on frameworks such as ISO, NIST, COBIT and ITIL.
- Drive awareness, communication and continuous improvement, while progressively taking on broader responsibilities within the CISO function.
Cybersecurity Consultant - The Profile
- 3–10 years of experience in IT security, IT risk, IT continuity, resilience or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and security architectures, with the ability to connect technical topics to business risks.
- Good knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, NIST, COBIT and/or ITIL.
- Experience with cloud & infrastructure resilience, ideally including Azure and/or GCP, as well as disaster recovery environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and project management skills, with the ability to influence different levels of the organisation.
- Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good understanding of the other language. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC or BCI are a plus.
