KYC Officer/Analyst - Private Financial Services in Brussels
Our client, a renowned private bank with a strong reputation in wealth management, is looking for a KYC Officer to strengthen the team.
You will join a specialized team that plays a key role in managing compliance risks and supporting the commercial teams in the application of Know Your Customer (KYC) regulatory requirements.
This position offers a diverse mix of analysis, operational control, process improvement, and colleague support.
Role
As a KYC Officer, you will actively contribute to strengthening first-line compliance controls.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing KYC and KYT (Know Your Transaction) reviews for new clients and existing client files.
- Conducting file reviews and targeted quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer information.
- Participating in monitoring activities and identifying risks related to customers and transactions.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal procedures and updating them in line with new regulatory requirements.
- Working closely with the commercial teams and the Compliance department to ensure the consistent application of the AML policy.
- Raising awareness among colleagues about best practices through training sessions and day-to-day support.
- Acting as the point of contact for questions relating to KYC and KYT obligations.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in law required.
- At least 2 years of experience in an AML, KYC, or Financial Crime role within a financial institution.
- Good knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and a critical mindset.
- Accurate, well-organized, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- High standards of integrity, discretion, and accountability.
- Excellent command of French and/or Dutch.
- Willingness to travel occasionally between different office locations.
