System Architect

• Act as the key liaison between stakeholders to clarify and document functional requirements.
• Translate business & operational needs into a future-proof system architecture aligned with the EBP roadmap.
• Define and maintain architecture & high-level design documentation.
• Support development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Guarantee architectural consistency across teams, with strong attention to safety, security, maintainability, and serviceability.
• Moderate workshops & technical discussions to validate architecture choices.
• Deliver high-quality documentation in line with internal quality processes and milestones.
• Contribute to the roadmap by clarifying and documenting new customer needs.

• Fluent in English (spoken & written) and professional fluency in Dutch and/or French.
• Proven experience in requirements analysis and documentation.
• Strong facilitation skills to run workshops and extract customer needs under pressure.
• Proficiency in data modeling & design tools (e.g., UML).
• Experience in UI application design and software implementation.
• Broad technical knowledge: hardware, software, web portals, networks, firewalls, servers, and IT security.
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Open mindset to modernize legacy safety systems.
• Bonus: knowledge of the rail signalization business.
