Our client, a growing Belgian chocolate manufacturer, is looking for a Junior Accountant in Brussels to strengthen its Finance team.

Junior Accountant | Your duties and responsibilities

As a Junior Accountant, you will:

Process and verify purchase invoices and bank statements
Follow up on supplier payments, payment reminders, customer collections and overdue balances
Reconcile customer and supplier accounts
Support daily accounting administration and maintain accurate financial records
Assist with month end and year end closing activities
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare recurring journal entries and provisions
Assist with VAT returns, Intrastat and intra community declarations
Prepare OneGate surveys and other statutory reporting
Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes

Junior Accountant | Ideal profile

Experience: Up to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance; recent graduates are welcome
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and French, with a good command of English
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; good knowledge of Belgian VAT and accounting principles, with strong Excel skills
