Freelance Linux Engineer

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for: 

• Leading the design and implementation of a Standard Operating Environment. 
• Driving infrastructure modernisation while maintaining performance, security, and reliability. 
• Automating processes using tools such as Ansible and Rundeck. 
• Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions aligned with strategic goals. 
• Monitoring and optimising systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and other tools. 
• Mentoring junior team members to foster a culture of learning and growth.  

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience. 
• 6+ years in infrastructure engineering, with expertise in Linux environments (e.g., SELinux, Red Hat derivatives). 
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible). 
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DNSSEC, and networking protocols.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, virtualisation, and containerisation technologies. 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and IT service management tools.  

• Start date: ASAP. 
• Contract duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extensions. 
• Work setup: Hybrid ( 2 days on-site per week and 3 days remote).
