Financial Controller | Manufacturing | Flemish Brabant

We are currently looking for a Financial Controller for one of our clients operating in the manufacturing sector and based in Flemish Brabant.

Our partner is a Belgian family-owned company with over 100 years of history, specialized in manufacturing. With a main site in Belgium and an entity in the Netherlands, the company employs around 150 people and is active in more than a hundred countries worldwide.

As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with the CFO and take responsibility for all financial activities, while managing a team of two finance professionals.

Function:

Manage on a daily basis a team of 2 finance professionals
Supervise budget monitoring and the preparation of financial reports
Analyze financial results, prepare forecasts, and identify variances against targets, proposing corrective actions
Develop and optimize budgeting processes and key performance indicators to support the company’s strategy
Collect and consolidate financial and accounting information from the different production sites
Optimize systems to improve the efficiency and reliability of reporting

Profile:

Higher education in Finance, Economics, or Management Sciences
At least 4 years of experience as an Auditor or in Management/Financial Control
Fluent in French with a good command of English
Analytical and detail-oriented, solution-focused, capable of optimizing processes and ensuring the reliability of financial information while meeting deadlines
Open-minded, autonomous, and comfortable working in a team while supervising and mentoring a team
Flexible and adaptable, able to manage change
