Experienced GL Accountant | Strategic Finance Role

Our client, fast-growing Belgian group active in the real estate and project development sector, is looking for a GL Accountant to strengthen its finance team.

Your duties and responsibilities

Manage the full general accounting cycle for several group entities.
Prepare monthly and year-end closing activities.
Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with accounting and tax obligations.
Prepare accounting files for external partners (accountants, auditors, etc.).
Produce monthly financial reports and analyse business performance.
Monitor cash flow and contribute to financial planning.
Support business controlling activities through financial analysis and KPI monitoring.
Work closely with management to improve financial processes and support strategic decision-making.

Ideal profile

Experience: At least 4 years of experience in general accounting (GL/A-Z), with exposure to financial reporting or business controlling.
Languages: Fluent in French. Knowledge of Dutch and/or English is considered a strong asset.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset.
