Our partner is a well-established international organisation in Belgium, operating in a dynamic environment where reliable and secure IT infrastructure is essential to its daily operations.

As part of the development of its IT team, we are looking for an All Around System Engineer who wants more than simply following instructions and maintaining existing systems.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of infrastructure-related projects, from identifying opportunities for improvement to implementing and following through on solutions. You’ll work closely with the IT team and relevant stakeholders, while enjoying a significant level of autonomy and independence in your day-to-day responsibilities.

All Around System Engineer | The Role

Manage and maintain IT systems, hardware, operating systems and applications, ensuring a reliable and efficient infrastructure.
Administer the Microsoft environment, including Active Directory, Entra ID, GPO, Windows Server, Intune and Microsoft 365.
Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot network & security infrastructure, including Cisco Switching, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP and firewall rules.
Take ownership of infrastructure projects, from analysing requirements and proposing solutions to implementation, testing and continuous improvement.
Manage and support backup, asset and monitoring solutions such as Veeam and Lansweeper, while contributing to ISO 27001 / ISMS-related processes.
Work closely with IT management, internal stakeholders and external partners, while providing technical support and expertise across the organisation.

All Around System Engineer | Ideal Profile

You have at least 5 years of experience in IT / System Engineering, with a strong hands-on approach to infrastructure.
You have solid expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, GPO and Microsoft 365.
You have good knowledge of networking & security, including switching, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP and firewall configuration.
Experience with Veeam, Lansweeper and ISO 27001 / ISMS is a strong asset.
You are autonomous and proactive, able to identify what needs to be done, propose solutions and take a project from idea to implementation.
You combine strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent communication abilities and the confidence to work independently while remaining a true team player.
