Accountant | International Consulting

Sander Finance is looking for an Accountant to join an international consultancy in Brussels. Our partner advises businesses and organisations on strategic challenges and continues to expand across Europe. The Belgian team maintains an approachable, informal working culture, with direct communication between colleagues.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will handle daily accounting and prepare the information required by the external Belgian accounting firm. English will be your main working language, and you will gradually have the opportunity to extend your scope to other European entities. This role suits someone who enjoys practical accounting work, varied responsibilities and international collaboration.

Accountant | Your responsibilities

Manage customer and supplier invoices, prepare billing and record daily transactions in NetSuite.
Perform bank, supplier and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Contribute to monthly reporting and prepare the data and supporting documents required for VAT returns and the external accountant’s work.
Support the finance leadership team with day-to-day departmental needs, gradually contributing to the accounting of other European companies.

Accountant | Your profile

You have around three years of experience in accounting or finance, with solid accounting fundamentals. All industry backgrounds are welcome; exposure to several countries is an advantage.
You have excellent written and spoken English and are confident using Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas and pivot tables. French or Dutch is a plus, and you are willing to learn NetSuite if it is new to you.
You are independent, organised and collaborative. You enjoy varied tasks, communicate effectively with colleagues remotely and consistently meet deadlines in a hybrid environment.

Accountant | The offer

A salary aligned with your experience, supplemented by a 13th-month salary.
