Accountant | Chinese language in international environment

Looking for an accounting role that combines accuracy, analytical thinking and international collaboration with using the Chinese language?

We are looking for an Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial information for a growing organisation with several business entities.

You will join a small finance team where you are closely involved in daily operations and make a direct contribution to reliable financial reporting. You will have the opportunity to deepen your accounting knowledge, critically assess existing processes and contribute to the ongoing digitalisation and automation of the finance department.

International collaboration is also an important part of the role. You will maintain regular contact with colleagues abroad and help ensure the smooth transfer of accounting processes. This makes the position particularly interesting for someone who enjoys working in a structured way, communicates clearly and feels comfortable in an international environment.

Role

As an Accountant, you will ensure that the accounts of several entities are processed accurately and on time. You will combine operational accounting tasks with analytical checks and the preparation of periodic closings.

Day-to-day accounting: You will process purchase and sales invoices and ensure accurate administrative follow-up.
Tax compliance: You will prepare VAT and Intrastat declarations and ensure that all deadlines are met.
Periodic closings: You will carefully prepare monthly and other periodic closings, providing accurate figures for financial reporting.
Analytical accounting: You will allocate costs to the appropriate departments, helping to provide insight into financial performance.
Controls and optimisation: You will review accounting entries, investigate discrepancies and contribute ideas for more efficient ways of working.
International collaboration: You will coordinate regularly with colleagues in China and support the gradual transfer of accounting activities.

Profile

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who enjoys getting hands-on while understanding the importance of accurate financial information.

You have experience in a similar accounting role and can independently handle operational accounting tasks.
You preferably hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or have acquired equivalent knowledge through professional experience.
You work in a structured manner, think logically and pay attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
You communicate effectively, are comfortable asking questions and take initiative when you identify opportunities for improvement.
You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
You are fluent in 中文.
You are open to working in an international environment and enjoy collaborating with colleagues in China.
