Accountant | Chemicals | Brussels
We are currently looking for an Accountant for one of our clients active in the chemical sector and based in Brussels.
Founded in the 1990s, this company specializes in the supply of chemical equipment and has approximately 120 employees worldwide.
In the Belgian subsidiary, the team manages the sale of products for the European market, in coordination with another European office. The company has a flat organizational structure, promoting close and accessible human relationships. Support and collaboration among colleagues are highly valued, including between European subsidiaries and the headquarters. Every individual is considered important.
This is a newly created position. You will work closely with the CFO based at headquarters and be responsible for all accounting tasks from A to Z for the Belgian subsidiary.
Function:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure financial reporting to the parent company
- Record recurring entries, manage provisions and accrued expenses
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, and collaborate with external accountants for VAT
- Participate in audits and tax processes
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
- Fluent in French and English
- Have the mindset of a small company, enjoy working in a human-sized structure, while being autonomous and able to work independently
- Versatile and able to handle a variety of accounting and administrative tasks
- Comfortable in an international environment, regularly interacting with colleagues around the world and able to collaborate effectively within the team
