Junior Controller | Science sector !

We are actively looking for a Junior financial controller for one of our clients active in the science sector located in Ghent.

Our client is a big player in the innovation and science sector they are known for changing data into knowledge. You will join a very agile work environment giving every employee a high degree of freedom and room for initiative and opportunity for growth and a capacity to assume responsibility. They are looking for a highly motivated Junior controller to join their team.

Your responsibilities:

• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Oversee various accounting operations

Profile:

• You have at least 1 year of work experience as a controller
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar 
• analytical, critical, proactive, and stress-resistant those words define you
• You are driven, eager to learn, and have a strong feeling for numbers.
• Your personality is pragmatic and business-oriented with a hands-on mentality
• You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages
